I noticed that "On the Banks of the Old Pontchartrain" was on the list, but that's a completely different song than the one Bob played tonight in Killarney, right? But he has played the song before. Beautiful song. I love Aife O'Donovan's recent version.
Banks of the old pontchartrain is a Hank Williams song. Lakes of pontchartrain is a folk song from around 1900, and one of my favorite covers from the early days of the Never ending tour. A fantastic cover worth checking out is by Paul brady. The 2025 version is quite well done, but not as good as the 88 or 89 versions.
lakes was not on the list, so it could not be selected, even if it's not the first time live, because it wasn't on the list, it gets the "non dylan first time live" points, one was unable to select it
